‘Eye on the sparrow’, those words has always fascinated me. Tiny birds practically insignificant, yes? Like a wasp, fly, or a mosquito?
I was heading home from church one night. As we drove through the quiet road I tilted my head for no reason in particular and saw that one of the street light was out. The light is set apart by a couple of yards. This position is to enable them illume that given space. They have the capacity to brighten that entire space. Continue reading I, Sparrow
We all love to be in control, of our circumstances, etc. When we fall deficient in our lives some of us retaliate my trying to control or be in control of other people’s lives. We are an embodiment of authority that’s why we hate being subjected to serve. We were given dominion but the devil’s deceit has made us misconstrue the real meaning of dominance which is sacrificial, generous and boundless to self, self and more self. Continue reading Master or Servant
It is easy to love someone you’ve never met and have just met. It’s easy to profess the love of God to these people. How well have you fared loving those who cause you to gnash your teeth at work? You’re most likely to fare better with them than the person who steals your blanket in a cold winter night, wouldn’t you? How well do you love your backstabbing friends?A cheating husband? “It happened in the dark
But the sun snuck in to expose its buttocks.
The buttocks of a man!
Regality is in his scrotum?
The Wild Drum he summoned by stroking its slumber has a tune.
The rhythm that was put to slumber before time begun,
The dreaded music of the formidable
is beckoning to its drummer.
The Drum has recognised the one who stroked it, and has demanded a dance.
The time has come for it.”
Destiny called you.
Judgment awaits you though!
Have you fulfilled your purpose?
I’m yet to fulfil mine I guess,
Maybe I already have!
Yet I know not what it’s supposed to be.
Maybe you could slip through the veil and tell me?
All I see is innocence tainted by the world beyond.
A world damaged and intrigued by decay.
Reposing youth to imposing ruin.
What was your gain?

Jane saw her husband Tobias step out of a taxi and frowned. The taxi should have parked on their cobbled driveway. It was a busy road, and he wasn’t a very careful person.
Tobias jumped when a red Audi swerved past him and lost his footing. Fortunately, he landed on the grass on their side of the road. There was a screech of tyres as the car came to a halt. A woman with long red hair ran towards her husband. Jane leaned on the railing of the balcony to observe but couldn’t see anything because of the woman bent over him. The red-haired woman stood up with a hand on her hip and the other making circles in the air. Continue reading Jane’s Vibe
A few weeks later, he was on holiday. While he was listening to the news that morning, he heard a knock. Baffled he went to answer the door to find Bartholomew there, grinning, and frowned.
Bartholomew cleared his throat and craned his neck to look behind Rotimi.
Rotimi snickered and smirked.
“Mr Adelaja, I have these bags for your wife.”
Rotimi grimaced, crossed his arms and leaned on the door. “From you, I presume.” Continue reading Waterloo’s Beast Contd.
The truth was that I was tired – tired of living from hand to mouth, looking at the time and urging the days to ebb away, searching the ground and hoping desperately that someone had dropped a fiver. Continue reading Hope on the Bumpy Road
